Words and pictures:Tucked up in bed
Gorgeous print by The Black Apple which can be purchased here
Sometimes bed can feel like a prison when you're an insomniac. There's nothing cool or glamourous or vaguely exciting about it. I have early waking syndrome and RSL. I move around in my sleep. I'm staying overnight at a sleep clinic after I get back from hols! God knows how one falls asleep in such an environment!

My creative space...
Cooking is actually one of my favourite things to. I've been watching French Leave, a BBC doco series about an English family who move to France, which has the most lovely scenery and cookery in it. I think food is an inspiration for many creative people.
Today I made potato bake:
And so not to waste the heat in the oven, some plain scones. They are a bit flat from being on the bottom of the oven, but tasty nonetheless.
I also ironed some vintage teatowels which are waiting to be sewed into something interesting...

Lovely bridal corset...
I'm selling this on ebay. It was originally custom made for me for my wedding, but never worn as I went with a different style of dress. It's beautiful handcrafting with the most lovely silk materials and detailing.

This blows my mind!
It's the work of Lithiuanian artist Severija Incirauskaite-Kriauneviciene, featured in an exhibition in Berlin called "Strich und Faden". Can't wait to visit Berlin!

Wearisome...
I'm struggling with a virus so I'm quite tired and worn around the edges. I always hate being ill when the sun is shining, much nicer to feel sorry for yourself listening to the pouring rain, under a quilt reading books. Lots of vitamins and hot water with lemon have been consumed.
Busy weekend planned: hair cut tomorrow, attending workshop on independent publishing as part of the Emerging Writer's Festival, visas to China to organise, accomodation to be booked for Bath and Reading... and various other bits and pieces of crafty enterprise. I need to finish a couple of Polka Dot Rabbit orders and send my consignments to my retailers also...Lots of sleep would be nice also...

Words and Pictures: Careful...
I'm a big fan of World War II Propaganda posters, particularly the themes about 'careless talk' and the thifty, 'make do and mend' themes.
