OMG, Mum had that book, I remember her making a farm version of that cake. I have a collection of ww cookbooks myself but missing the cake one. I must keep an eye out. Thanks for the memories.

I pull this book out at least twice year - two kids (usually more cause I like the buttercream recipe!)
My very clever parents made me the piano, the typewriter and the wishing well in my younger years!
It never goes out of style.

Oh wow! That swimming pool cake was the one my Mum made for my 6th birthday! I have never forgotten it, I still have the little doll that floated in the jelly pool! Her name is Cara...

Thanks for making me smile!

OMG my mum must of had that book. This was my bday cake one year. She was pretty cleaver. I remember one year she even made a cabbage patch kid cake. It was just the face but I was very impressed. My brothers had racing car cakes and train cake more along the lines of the pool! Too good.

I will always remember the excitement and antisipation of choosing my birthday cake from this cookbook. I had this cake for my 10th birthday. It was pool party as my parents had an inground pool in the backyard and the cake was perfect for the occasion. I think my grandma has made nearly every cake in this book between mine and my brother birthdays. Thanks for the lovely memory!

I looked through that book about 50 billion times when I was a kid...might explain my passion for cake decorating now... my favourite cakes were in the 'for girls' section...must pull that book out again! I'm feeling nostalgic now!
