Words and pictures: Fragrant

For many years I had severe hayfever and had an extremely poor sense of smell. Nowadays, thanks to the miracles of immunotherapy my sense of smell is quite good. I find certain fragrances bring me back to certain times of my life.

The smell of plastic always makes me think of pool floaties and swimming as a small child

The smell of jasmine reminds me of when I was being treated for burns after an accident. It was growing outside my window.

One of my favourite food smells is hot raisin toast, fresh from the toaster, it makes me think of easter and special occasion breakfasts:

Don't you love the smell of freshly sun dried linen? It has a fragrance that makes me think of home.
