Today is Anzac Day, an annual day in Australia where we commemorate all those who have died in War. I'm a big fan of War Propanganda as an art form (see
here and
here and
here), particularly in regard to their representations of women during war years, a time where many women experienced their first taste of freedom in employment and many women fought as hard for their lives as men at war.



Army
nurses, their hard work often obscured by that of the soldiers. My grandma was a nurse during World War II, she has some amazing stories. Like many women, she never celebrated Anzac Day or marched in any commemoration events.
