Things I like today

I think this chair is rather lovely, such beautiful fabric!

Rather enjoyed this article on seasonal eating out of season? (I spied chocolate eggs in the shops on Boxing Day). What's your view? ps-keen to make my own hot cross buns again this Easter!

I'm keen to give these vegan potato tacos a try...with plenty of chilli sauce! Avocados are cheap at the moment, and it's also great to find new soy free recipes.

Wonderful embroidery!

Hope everyone in Melbourne is enjoying the cooler weather today!

Things I like today

It's woefully hot in Melbourne this week (over 104 degrees F yesterday) so this picture fills me with longing for cold water swimming....

not sure how comfortable these would be, but they look cool

Made in China is a recent piece by artist Joe Black depicting a portrait of Chinese soldier by photographer Robert Capa that appeared on the cover of LIFE magazine in 1938. Black glued over 5,500 multi-colored toy soldiers to a vertical surface to achieve the pointillistic effect. Found here

New year festivities in Woodend

Chris and I had a lovely weekend away in Woodend just after Christmas. We stayed at the lovely Campaspe House, a gorgeous 1920's english style manor house....

The pool was lovely in the heat!

I won at petanque!

Glorious gardens everywhere, all styled by Edna Walling!
